What is "Mini Acres"? You've never heard of it?
You're in for a pleasant surprise!
Mini Acres is what many people think they will be seeing at a dollhouse miniature show. Dollhouses for sale. Typically there are not many actual dollhouses at a show -- only the accessories -- the cute, realistic, artistic, items made by artisans or commercially produced. Since everything in real life can be reproduced in smaller scale, that shouldn't be too surprising.
LAST YEAR WAS THE FIRST TIME EVER that "Mini Acres" was at the Seattle Miniature Show and it was a HUGE SUCCESS. Anyone who wants to sell a dollhouse can sign a "listing agreement", pay a $20.00 "listing fee" (which is waived if you are a dealer at the show), bring the house (or roombox or lighthouse) to the show and place it in "Mini Acres", a new neighborhood of properties for sale by owner. Perfect property? Handyman Special? Not yet assembled? It doesn't matter. Just like real life, buyers and sellers come together. Remember, in order for there to be a "lot" for your house, you must list before the show -- NOT AT THE SHOW. |

This vintage electrified roombox made in 1979 lived at Mr. Peepers Miniature Store for many years. Noral is a master miniaturist with works in many museums. This piece feature his beautifully finished bar, booth, and woodwork. There is a stained glass piece at the top. This piece easily slides into a bookcase for display. Artisan dolls and accessories compete this. Dimensions: 12" deep x 11-1/2" high x 24" wide.

Dimensions: 13" deep x 14" high x 13" wide. This square greenhouse has a molded floor with an inner 1-1/2" high wall that holds the lead glass walls and roof in place. The glass is designed with multi-tiers that meet in a peaked center topped with a bird that works as the knob to raise and lower the glass.
